*Here's something amusing: My friend L and I were having a catch-up on the phone this morning and discovered that we each have dates with the same guy from the Internet this week. [snipped details] Snort! It's not something I had my heart set on particularly, so I do find this very amusing. And I'm not altogether surprised, given the demographics - surprised it hasn't happened before. She did once pass along to me someone she'd been emailing but didn't think would work for her. Anyway, this guy sounded like interesting company on the phone, so I'm sure it'll be enjoyable regardless. [snipped details]

Something about this reminds me of Eric Rohmer's "Autumn Tale." In fact, I'm pretty sure I saw it with L. I'll have to see if she remembers it.
