Soon to be the Mecca for networking (although I don't see Katherine Voss of ODVA moving, and Mike Bryant and his Profibus crew love Scottsdale) with Hart and Fieldbus Foundation, another fieldbus organization has established an office in the Austin, Texas area. The EtherCat Technology Group (ETG) has established an office there headed by new North American representative Joey Stubbs. The automation vendor driving EtherCat is Beckhoff Automation. Interestingly, Stubbs lately worked as a sales and application engineer for Beckhoff.
