Contract manufacturing consolidation I've just started working with Solectron for stories about contract manufacturing, then I see they've been purchased. Flextronics is acquiring it in order to "create the most diversified and premier global provider of advanced design and vertically integrated electronics manufacturing services." The combined companies operate in 35 countries with a workforce of approximately 200,000 including about 4,000 design engineers with total revenues of about $30 billion. 11:52:42 AM    comment []
