March Madness

In the face of worldwide protest marches against the US occupation of Iraq on the first anniversary of the war, Bush will no doubt display the same studied indifference as he did during the original demonstrations a year ago.

He'll stick to the party line that he's a steady leader who keeps his own counsel and does not bow to the whims and caprices of public opinion polls.

The poll he'll be forced to pay attention to is the one that ejects him from office on election day.
