Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2(10.1.2) is now available for download. Although Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2) has hundreds of new features, for J2EE and web services perspective this is a maintenance release of OC4J that contains a lot of bug fixes and a few new features to make it a rock solid platform for deploying Service Oriented applications. This release of OC4J is shipped with 10g JDBC driver Oracle out of the box. If you are looking for a stable J2EE 1.3 server for your development or production deployment then OC4J 10.1.2 is the right choice. However if you are a leading-edge application developer and currently looking for a server that supports J2EE 1.4 and Web Services standards then you should use OC4J 10.1.3 Developer Preview.  The OC4J 10.1.3 DP3 release notes provides new features available in this release.
