After J2SE 5.0 was released few months back, there has been a lot of discussion around metadata annotations and its merits and demerits. There are many debates and guidelines about using annotations. OTN published another nice introductory article by Jason Hunter in which Jason takes another stab at metadata annotations by explaining its purpose and how to use annotation.
