Windy in the Windy City [posted by Troy] I have left the South. I am north, where it is about 10 degrees cooler. I had a nice trip to DC (for about a 60 minute layover) and then I flew to Chi-town. There have been SO many things happen while I've been gone that I need to comment on. To save some time, here's a quick list:
Death of Ronald Reagan: They are renaming every road in Illinois after him.
Death of Ray Charles: He did better things for poor, African-Americans than Reagan did.
Lance Armstrong accused of taking drugs: Let's hope it's not true.
Lance Armstrong will race in 2005: Awesome!
Troy Studies TOO hard: Good God, I know why people drop out of PhD programs. This stuff is not as easy as it looks.
Iraq sucks: Oh, wait, that is the same as when I left.
Bill Clinton makes money off of being a slimeball: Oh, wait, that is the same as when I left.
Southern-life: Finally, I'm back to a place where I can be rude to other people and not feel too terribly bad about it. I have many oberservations to tell you about the South, but I'll have to do that on a day that is not as nice as today...
