Fill in blank [posted by Troy] Tonight on our drive home from dinner, we noticed a sign for a lawyer that read so-and-so "Attorney at Law." We were wondering if the "at law" part was really needed. Well, I looked up the word attorney and by jove, it is in fact needed. Merriam-Webster tells us that an attorney is "one who is legally appointed to transact business on another's behalf..." Thus, I wonder if you could be an attorney at other things. For instance, if I charged you with selling break on my behalf, would you be my attorney at bread?

Illinois vs Wake Forest Tonight [posted by Troy] Kim & I were enjoying our dinner this evening at one of Chicago's finest brew pubs. We both ignored the ale options and went for the diet coke. As we enjoyed the first refills, our conversation was rudely interrupted by the cheers of our fellow patrons in the establishment. Naturally, we glanced around and noticed that these fine Chicagoans were intently watching the Illinois-Wake Forest Game. Both teams had fans present. Kim & I found this scene to be a surprise. Why would anyone let something like college basketball ruin dinner? Hmmm? After discussing this, we decided that his is yet another case of us attending a Division III school and, therefore, not caring about sports. Our regular readers will remember the post from a few months back where I commented on the same issue. Anyway, Kim and I wanted Illinois to win.

We'll open the window and rock! [posted by Troy] GapersBlock Also pointed me to this article about an idea to host concerts at Wrigley Field. Kim & I could walk over to hear Buffet. Not too shabby.
