Northwestern [posted by Troy] I don't know if many you know about Northwestern's Center for Wrongful Convictions, but these were the professors and students who started researching Illinois death row cases. Their work ended in Governor Ryan’s moratorium on executions in Illinois. I have long thought of them as heros within this state. I heard a story on NPR about Walter Arvinger, which reminded me of the Northwestern Center. Very cool.
