Academic Analysis of Gollum Found this on BoingBoing.com [posted by Troy] Since I know that there are a few regular readers of this blog who love Lord of The Rings, I wanted to pass along this medical journal aritcle that analyzes Gollum from a physio-pycho-diagnosis. The conclusion is mixed, since the power of the ring is clearly a physical cause of his mental illness. Yet, he also fulfills aspects of schizoid personality disorder.
