The Man With the Four Way Hips Last night I went to a local bar to see a performance by a male belly-dancer. He's apparently one of only six professional male Eastern dancers in Canada, and he was quite good. I was amazed at his ability to isolate his muscles. He's giving a workshop tomorrow so I think I'll go.
Today I'm having a lazy day (it's a holiday here in the Yukon - Heritage Day). Iris and Jamie both slept over at friends' houses last night so there's been no urgency to cook or do much else. Joe made me breakfast before taking himself off to the gym, while I lounged about and watched the Canadian men take gold in curling. I hear a book calling my name this afternoon, or maybe Jamie and I will watch a movie. My only firm commitment is to go to my flamenco class tonight. I'm not usually one to just chill out, but today seems to be an exception. I think I'm tired - ready for a holiday.
Alan phoned last night. I missed his call but Joe said he sounded like he's having a great time. He's in Mexico City again and had recently gone para-gliding, which he loved. Hard to believe he'll be back in Canada in less than a month.
