Technology I don't know what it is, but lately I have been having trouble with just about every form of electronic communications there is. My email has been on-again, off-again, my internet both at work and home is very slow, my work voice-mail has been cutting out and the phoneline itself is very noisy. All frustrating stuff.
The Missing Piece Our modern dance group is working with one of the kids' classes to create a work using not music, but the words to Shel Silverstein's book 'The Missing Piece'. It's a story about relationships and finding out that you can be complete all on your own, without constantly searching for what you might perceive as your 'missing piece'. It was chosen by my dance teacher, who's 28 and single and lonely. Guess the words really spoke to her (I, on the other hand, being the rather independent soul that I am, have never felt the need to find a missing piece to complete me. I tend to think of my relationships as 'additional pieces' that at their best make me a better person. Anyway, I digress)
The words are fun to dance to - last night was the first time we ran through the whole thing. This morning, I'm hobbling around like an old woman. Guess it must have been all those floor rolls that have taken their toll on this old body.
