Beautiful!
What a glorious early fall day it is here...sunny and warm. A day to go fishing perhaps, or be sitting on a house boat on Atlin Lake. However neither of those activities are in the cards for me today, as I have some commitments here in town. We have agreed on today as being Jamie's belated birthday party, and he has managed to convince me to allow him and three of his friends to go paintballing. I have a strong aversion to this activity, but Jamie wanted to do nothing else for his party so I have relented. Relectantly. Stupid war games.
Trading Prokofiev for Patanjali
I was reading an article yesterday about students at the prestigious Tanglewood Music Centre who have taken to practicing yoga in between rehearsal times. It helps relax tight muscles after the hours of practice they put in every day, helps relieve performance anxiety, and helps then 'get in the zone' when they're performing. Makes total sense to me. Wish I'd thought of that when I was preparing for my piano exams.
Fish Blog
Yesterday I stumbled across the blog of a Yukoner who loves everything about fish. It turns out he's a fan of my company's fishladder. Nice to hear praise about the facility. If you want to see a live webcam of the salmon, try here....but be warned that it won't work for Mac users at this time.
