Quel Jour!
I am not normally a bad-tempered person. Yes, being an Aries I have my moments, but usually I am pretty positive and upbeat. Not yesterday. I'm not sure why. Maybe it was because one of my co-workers had what could have been a fatal electrical accident yesterday (luckily it appears he's going to be OK). Maybe because it was cold and miserable yesterday and when the cloud cover cleared there was snow on the near-by mountains. Maybe because I haven't been getting as much exercise as I should lately. But whatever the reason, I was a bear to be around yesterday. I felt like hiding away in some cave and not talking to anyone.

Once I left work, I made a stop at the farmers' market, went home to make dinner using some of the spoils (pasta with pesto, salad and corn on the cob), spent a half hour turning over one of my compost piles, did a bit of grocery shopping after dropping Iris off for work, and came home to read for an hour (Margaret Atwood's 'The Robber Bride'). Through all this, the tension was slowly leaving me and by the end of the evening, I almost felt like my old self.

Then, after 10:30, I got a phone call. It turns out Jamie had loaned his bike to a neighbour, the neighbour (an 11 year old) had been riding the bike on the trails behind our house and had been accosted by four older teenagers who took the bike and basically trashed it. I guess they were making a game of throwing it up into the air to see if it would touch the power lines. So now today I have to deal with these boys and their parents....not fun. The tension has returned. Grrrr.
