There are a few things that I like about growing old. Not many mind you. I certainly don't like the wrinkles or the grey hair or the expanding waistline. But I think I've gotten to the age where I can do silly things and not give a hoot about what other people think. Like in my dancing for instance. Last night our jazz class decided on Justin Timberlake's 'Sexy Back' as our piece for the year end show. The choreography is real bump and grind stuff and the part we've learned so far has been just a hoot. After class, when we told one of the teenagers who was hanging about downstairs about our selection, she got a mortified look on her face and said, "Is my mom taking that class?" When we assured her that no, she wouldn't get to see her mom burlesquing about on stage, she looked greatly relieved, but then said, "Ah, I don't really think I want to see that piece." It was the same kind of look you see on kids' faces when they envision their parents having sex. Too too funny. Grind on, Janet.
