Rebecca's Yukon Garden
Years ago, I used to practically live in my vegetable garden. An hour in the garden was better for my soul than just about anything else I could imagine. Then came kids, piano study, a year spent away from the Yukon at which time something mysterious happened to my soil to make it inhospitable to just about everything but weeds...bottom line is I drifted away from this passion.
Now it's calling me back. This fall we are having a landscaper come to give us some ideas of what to do with our backyard, which at the moment is full of wildflowers and weeds but not much else. A new vegetable garden and small greenhouse will figure prominently in the plan. I'm excited already!
