Glad to Say "She Told You So"...

Turmeric May Protect Against Leukemia  reads today's headlines.

So, how about a little history, folks? :-)

Dr. Dana Myatt has been a practicing Naturopathic Medical Doctor since 1989, and a true scientist since about age 8. In 1994, realizing that there was no single source of high-potency, pharmaceutical quality nutritional supplements readily available, Dr. Myatt consulted with biochemists and research scientists and founded Dr. Myatt Nutritionals - now Dr. Myatt's Wellness Club. Her vitamin, mineral and herbal formulas are a result of meticulous medical research combined with exacting production standards.

A number of years ago, Dr. Myatt's research led her to the same conclusions as those now expressed by Professor Moolky Nagabhushan of Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, who said that turmeric and it's coloring, curcumin, irreversibly inhibits the multiplication of leukemia cells in laboratory studies and seems to protect against damage caused by cigarette smoke and eating certain processed foods.

When Dr. Myatt found such strong evidence of these protective properties (long before Professor Nagabhushan and his report), she knew that she had to make turmeric available to her patients and Wellness Club members. There was only one problem - no one was making pharmaceutical grade turmeric! In fact, Turmeric as a supplement was hard to come by because it was not yet an "herb of commerce." Various grades and levels of purity were available from the spice industry, but these did not meet Dr. Myatt's standards, and she had to search long and hard to find a pure enough form of this extraordinary antioxidant and anti-inflammatory herb that she could feel confident to put her own name on. Wellness Club brand Turmeric  is the result - the purest and most potent available anywhere. This is an excellent addition to anyone's regimen - whether it is protective for children, or part of an anti-aging and longevity protocol for adults. Oh, and by the way, cooking with this wonderful, fragrant herb is not only a great way to increase one's intake of curcumin compounds, it is a treat for the palate as well! Curry anyone?

Cheers,
Nurse mark
