Unjustified Ban on Ephedra
Shows FDA Bias

Ephedra Ban Lifted by Judge

Let's see.... 23,000 deaths directly attributable to Viiox and the FDA asks them to make some changes, maybe a warning on the label. (Merck voluntarily withdrew the drug; it was not banned by the FDA).

Ephedra has allegedly caused 115 deaths (many medical experts, myself included, have looked at these deaths and concluded that most were NOT caused by ephedra use), and the herb is BANNED. (NOTE: the drug versions of ephedra, ephedrine and pseudoephedrine, are still available over-the-counter. These drugs have the same side-effects as ephedra only more so because of their concentrated nature).

Does this look like some FDA bias going on here? Maybe fueled by the pharmaceutical companies who have drugs in the pipeline that work similar to ephedra (only not as well) and will cost a lot more? Hmmmmm.

I'd like to see ephedra back on the market. It is a safe and effective herb for stimulating thermogenesis (fat-burning). When used correctly, it is both safe and effective. The fact that it was banned was simply an attempt by the FDA to look like they are really protecting us from "dangerous" natural medicines. The death toll between FDA-approved drugs like Viiox and non-FDA approved herbs like ephedra tells the real tale.
