Microsoft
Commercial. . . not on purpose. . .
Adam Curry also mentioned on today's Daily Source Code that my segment on
Microsoft in 2005 from Saturday's Manic Minute sounded like a commercial. I can
see how it might look that way, since I work for Microsoft, but I was just
excited about products which I am involved with actually seeing the light of
day.
Advice for the
lovelorn. . .
Well, at least the folks who love writing software and have been avoiding
studying it because they think there will be no jobs when they graduate. I
couldn't agree more with Joel (on Software) Spolsky's post today titled "College
Advice". As Joel says, yes there are people out of work, I was even one of them
for a while, but there is a huge shortage of people who really know how to
develop software. I'm increasingly convinced that it requires not just study
but passion and innate talent!
