A homeowner’s association president was attacked after he asked a man to move his truck. Lou Marin was hit in the head with a shovel at the John Young Crossings subdivision. The man who attacked him had his truck parked on the grass, which is against the HOA rules in the neighborhood.

An Everett man Thursday pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit arson, including an admission of a role in a multimillion-dollar blaze that destroyed a condominium building under construction in Edmonds.

In past months there has been $12,000 worth of damage done to sprinkler heads and lights in a homeowners association common area and graffiti on public signs. The Oak Park sign on Kanan Road at the eastern entrance to the commu- nity was vandalized.

Martin, who lives on Clayton Drive in the Rock Creek neighborhood, recently spray-painted hers with fluorescent red, yellow and orange polka dots. Martin is upset that twice during the past year she received a notice from her homeowners' association, asking her to clean and paint her white mailbox.
