We've heard a lot about Las Vegas going vertical. The skyline of the city is supposed to be redrawn by a new, urban lifestyle. But there's another trend on the real estate horizon that may get people to live, work, and play in a community that goes horizontal as well as vertical.

Residents in the neighborhood and surrounding areas said they are concerned about a clinic located just around the corner that counsels sex offenders as part of their parole. Parents have imposed stricter guidelines on their children because of the perceived threat from the clinic's clients.
