Hows That Again

Saturday, December 18th
I saw my first butterfly of December. I don't know how, but one lonely yellow butterfly survived the cold weather the south has been having for the past week. (It didn't survive for long as it ran head-first into my rig traveling at 65 mph.) Today it was in the mid '60's as I traveled through Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. With the exception of a few clouds at dawn, it was a beautiful, cloudless day. One of those days where you can catch some rays (if you're heading south) and get a mild tan/sunburn.

I took advantage of the warm weather and changed the fuel filter in the truck (sure beats changing it 20-degree weather!).

About the only thing better than a driving day like today is to park at a truck stop by the ocean at the end of the day (I'm not even sure there are any truck stops right on the ocean since beach front property is so expensive). Oh well....

Well, time to check e-mail and relax a bit before tomorrow's drive.
