Sunday, December 19th
Another beautiful driving day!

Got to San Antonio in mid-afternoon in mid-60's weather again. Sweet!

I'm currently watching the Packers play the Panthers. It's half-time and the the Panthers have a slim lead in frigid weather. Go Pack!

Well, tomorrow begins the decrease in daily driving miles. I've got 24 and one-half hours of driving & on-duty time left to get back home Friday. It will be very interesting to see how my fleet manager will accomplish this without requiring me doing a restart of driving hours (34-hours of non-driving activity) between here and Wisconsin. Here's the breakdown: beginning tomorrow (Monday) I've got 5-days to get back home to celebrate Christmas on the weekend. If I add 1-hour of "on duty, but not driving" for each day of the upcoming five-days, that leaves me with a total amount of 19 and one-half hours. This averages out to driving around 230 miles per day. Or to put it another way, I guess you could call this my "Christmas break." Looks like I'll have plenty of time to twiddle my thumbs for the rest of the week. At least I get to sleep in tomorrow morning (my delivery appointment is not until 12:00 noon).

PostScript: The Packers are in the playoffs, but they lost the home game. They play Minnesota next week (Christmas Eve) and then Chicago the following week. It's possible that they could lose both games. On the other hand, if they win, they've got some momentum going into the playoffs. I sure hope they do not have to play the Eagles once in the playoffs. Oh heck, let's play 'em and trounce 'em!
