Interesting article on Windows DRM straight from the source. Windows Media DRM FAQ.
This is a perfect example of a company using legal-speak to hide their basic message: "We are trying our hardest to keep you from using the media you purchased in the ways you really want to". In a related note - Adam Curry has mentioned recently on the Daily Source Code that he is thinking about buying a Windows machine just so he can get up to speed on iPodder type activities taking place on the Windows platform. I think this is interesting because knowing what do about Adam, he certainly has a taste for the finer things in life and having been a Mac user for nearly 20 years, It's going to be interesting to hear of his experiences with his new PC. I just hope he broadcasts them (the good and the bad) so we can see first hand how he handles Windows DRM.

Time to grab a drink and toast our dear friend - the Macintosh is 21 years old today! In related news:
Never seen video footage of the introduction of the Macintosh in January 1984 was published for the first time on the Internet today. Renowned Mac user Scott Knaster kept that Betamax video tape for 21 years, and German media agency TextLab has unearthed this only surviving video tape of the launch."

This is just too good of a personal interest story to pass up. Unless you have been living under a rock for the past year, you've no doubt heard about (and hopefully tried) the Firefox browser. If you live in the Windows world (then you probably aren't reading this particular blog) and you are still using Internet Explorer - by all means, give Firefox a try.
This post isn't about all the technical reasons why you should do this but instead it's about an article from this morning looking behind the scenes of one of the co-creators of FireFox. Now this would be interesting anyways but when you add to the mix that this individual is one really talented 19 year old (who also happened to be learning C++ when he was 14 among other accomplishments).
Give it a read: Teen Is Co-Creator of Firefox Browser and by all means, go try Firefox.
