End of Week
This week my Alaska World Affairs Council 20-hour work week ended up being a 37 1/2-hour one. We had our monthly Board meeting on Wednesday, which adds significantly to the work week--the day before, the day of, and half a day after. However, I've caught up with a lot of little items that had been hanging over me. Another 6 hours or so and the task list should be wiped clean.
This Friday our speaker was Peter Gishuru, the President and CEO of the African Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest. His job is to promote financial investment in Africa. I took him to dinnner at Marx Brothers on Thursday evening. The food was great but a difficult place to have indepth conversations.
NEWS; It warmed up to 18 degrees today and truly felt balmy.
