A Nancy King for the AWAC Website I needed a "head shot" picture to go with my bio on the AWAC website. All the digital pictures I have are of other people---I guess I don't take pictures of myself. The one I like that Daughter has in her digital files didn't work when it was cropped. So this morning, sitting propped up in bed under my down comforter (-5 on the deck theomemter) with my warm laptop on my lap, I went to Google Images of Nancy King. All sorts of intersting, nice looking people are named Nancy King. A lot of them are teachers. This could be me. A teacher at Mississippi State. Is this me a Nancy King teacher? I liked this Nancy King's bio. The Nancy King I would like to look like. And then there is this Nancy King! Will the real Nancy King please stand! 11:10:20 AM    comment []

Mutual Funds Class I have 10 teachers in my 15-contact hour, 1 credit Mutual Funds class. We met yesterday from 4:30 to 8:00, the same today, and all day Saturday. I throughly enjoyed last night's class---What is a mutual fund, Ownership Profile, with a written response for each topic. For What is a Mutual Fund they could write, draw, prepare a skit, whatever. I have one fellow who is creating a Quick Time presentation that looks like it will be great. Hopefully, he will put the © and his name on it and let me post it. All the teachers except three have taken my Econ and Stocks class at some point in time. Two or three of them have taken the stock analysis info I taught and are really using it. I miss that "making a difference" with my World Affairs job. I'm prepared for teaching the rest of the class, so today i'm kind of relaxing and doing a few odds and ends. 9:00:51 AM    comment []
