RSS isn't the only thing that has seen a fork. Look at Elba.Sourceforge.Net. "Is this a fork of JBoss? Yup!" A friend of mine who doesn't work at Microsoft asked me "who said open source protects you from politics?".

Here's how you search Google for articles that exist on Microsoft's support site.

Here's an oldie, but goodie: digital clock.

Wired Magazine: PowerPoint as art.

It's 1977. You work at IBM. Microsoft's Bill Gates just gave you a presentation. What do you do?

Every day I meet people who could be the next Bill Gates (both inside and outside of Microsoft). Every day here is like 1977. Don't think that's true? Look at Text America (who bought us dinner tonight). Today, they are just a handful of people who noticed a trend. I noticed it too. When I went in to buy a cell phone recently I noticed that almost every customer was walking out with a camera phone. That's huge and getting bigger (I'm told that some stores are even giving away camera phones now).

The problem is, moblogs are too uninformative. Here, take a look at the moblog from our dinner. I see the team now is off drinking somewhere. But, no context. No text. Here's a hint from the guys...that'll soon change.

So, how do you

Sorry for slowing down the blogging lately. Last night we went to a concert on the pier (Buddy Guy). Awesome as usual. Tonight we had a dinner with the Text America folks that was lots of fun. We talked about RSS and phones and got the skinny on the moblogging market. Nothing ground breaking, but this Computer World interview with Microsoft exec Jim Allchin about Longhorn and other topics is a good one. Very conversational and candid.
