Christopher Coulter sent me this link from ITWeb: "Tablet PC will usurp the laptop in future."

Have a great weekend everyone, I won't post again until Monday night!

Simon Phipps is reporting a rumor that Pyra sold to Google for $295 million. Whoa, if that's correct, I'm the next Gary Kildall (I worked for Pyra competitor UserLand for a while as director of marketing). I gotta go to bed. Is this rumor correct? If so, wake up Merrill Chapman, I just wrote chapter 12 of "In Search of Stupidity" (that's the APress book about High-Tech Marketing Disasters that I'm currently reading).

MSNBC is reporting that an arrest is expected of someone suspected of writing one of the MSBlaster variants.

Have a great weekend. Maryam and I are off to Silicon Valley to see Patrick and hang out with friends. On my way down there, I'm reading "In Search of Stupidity" by Merrill Chapman. So far, it's a great read of the world's high-tech marketing disasters.

Hint, I believe I'm extraordinarily lucky to be living where I am, and working for who I am.

Anytime I think I have it bad in America, all I need to do is read the current issue of National Geographic titled: 21st Century Slaves (link is only an excerpt).

Thanks to Jeffrey Zeldman for that link

Dylan Tweney says he's noticing commenting spammers. Oh, great.

I must have missed this one too, but MIT is trying to put all its courseware online for free.

Just saw that the .NET Webloggers are outdoing themselves with posting links of useful stuff for developers. Guys, will you please knock it off? I can't read all this cool stuff!

Kevin Dente notes that Microsoft has released an SDK for accessing microsoft.com downloads.

NASA (which needs some good publicity) has a very cool site called "astronomy picture of the day."

One of the remaining original "Dunlap broadside" printed copies of the Declaration of Independence is in Seattle, Washington at the Museum of History and Industry from August 22 - September 1.

Omri Gazitt gives folks who are planning to go to the PDC some good advice.

Yeah, I did notice that Xbox.com is using Macromedia's Flash technology.

Gamers.com notes that Microsoft redesigned XBox.com and announced new XBox Live now features. Cool!

Oh, I missed all the Macromedia fun over the past week. They announced a whole bunch of stuff. Looks awesome.

Seattle Lego Fans, check this BrickCon out.

Peter's Tablet PC-centric Weblog simply rocks. For instance, he points at ArtRage and he takes swipes at Microsoft too. What is better than that? Constructive criticism and cool links.
