Dirk's post about EMusic.com got me interested in their business. These guys are actually clearing rights with owners and making downloadable music in mp3 format available. Sure, you won't find madonna, but there's plenty of good stuff here. They even have an 80's section. Woe is me! And it's legal!
What's even slicker is their affiliate program.
Download, Play, Burn MP3s!!
it's like seeing a micro economy evolve before my very eyes.

Have you hugged your librarian today? You should! They're really fun and useful (Sometimes sexy, if they have hair in a bun, glasses and both are let down and whipped off in a simultaneous move). As my (currently absent) friend Dave would say: "Librarians and Lawyers are always the first non-tekkie users of technological developments on the internet because they are professional information whores". Written with affection!
My favourite librarian is shifted. Killer link today to the IBM 'Ease of use poster". See the "easy to use" ordering instructions on this page.

Adam Lashinsky: "Given its huge cash position and relatively low market value, Apple represents one of the least risky ways to invest in the personal computer business." (Disclaimer: I'm an Apple shareholder)

You can always count of fark to point out an amazing fact. I had no idea just how loaded Donald Rumsfeld is. No wonder the guy's always smiling.
