A general comment to people who mis-spell my last name. It's so old that it doesn't have the shock value it used to. There's still a little zing, but then the question comes up -- why did the person do it, and what does it say about the rest of their argument.

My last name was given to my grandfather by a random person at Ellis Island. It's also my mother's last name, and many of the people in my family that I care for.

That one would mis-spell it doesn't say anything about me or members of my family, other than I have a last name that can be mis-spelled in an insulting way. (It can also be mis-spelled in a nice way, but people who want to make positive statements, generally don't do it by mis-spelling things.)

It does however make a statement about the person who mis-spelled it.

1. You don't believe your argument merits serious consideration by intelligent people.

2. You don't have respect for me.

3. You don't have respect for your readers.

If you see this on my Blogger site you'll know that all is well in Manila-Blogger Bridge-Land. 12:24:59 PM

Just made a whole bunch of changes after Lawrence and Jake reviewed the new tool. 1. 2. 12:07:38 PM

I'm doing the final checkout of the Manila-Blogger Bridge tool for Radio 8 before releasing it as a beta. If this works, the data should get initialized but nothing should mirror because the Tool is not enabled. (Good thing I checked that, the post did show up on the test Manila site, because the callback code was not respecting the enabled boolean. It does now. So you should see this on DHRB and not on the Manila site. Testing.) Good that worked now. Next step, enable the mirroring. So now you should see this on both the Manila site and the Radio blog. Testing. 1. 2. 3. 8:41:30 AM
