Jake and Lawrence are testing the My Pictures tool now. If you see pictures on their Radio sites you'll know something is working. ";->" 7:14:09 PM

A picture named ct.gifA picture named crypty.gifA picture named crnl.gifA picture named crimson.gifFour more just to test to see that I didn't break anything. 6:54:09 PM

A picture named wtc.gifThis is the most famous picture from 2001. Everyone loved it. When it came out we knew we would survive. America is a great fucking country and don't you forget it. 6:49:53 PM

A picture named dogondrugs.gifGetting it ready to ship. Shelley's dog on drugs makes a good test case. Not too big a picture. Makes me happy for some reason. For all I know the dog is perfectly happy and healthy. But from outward appearances, not so! 6:42:43 PM

A picture named crest.gifA picture named cramps.gifA picture named connie.gifA reminder that my tool works and I should let people play with it. I have to add some code that makes it easy to update, and finish the docs. Let's say around 7:30PM Pacific. 6:11:11 PM

Update: I decided I can't stand to wait, I don't know when to stop waiting. So-- I programmed it this way. When the thread copies files, it makes a note of that. The next time around, if it copies more files, it pushes the image HTML on the accumulated text. It keeps doing this as long as it had work to do. The first time it does no uploading, and there is accumulated text, it opens the home page for you, with the images there.

12:53:30 PM

A picture named cartop.gifA picture named carni.gifA picture named cap.gifA picture named camilla.gifI copied four Zeldman icons into the watched folder, waited a few seconds, and then refreshed the home page of the desktop website, and there were the four pictures. This is the best interface I could come up with. It's not perfect. I wish I could just open the browser window, but that's not perfect either. What if you're not finished copying pics? How could the software know? 12:29:29 PM

A picture named by.gifA picture named bunko.gifA picture named bumr2.gifA picture named bumr.gifA picture named bujo.gifA picture named bty.gifA picture named boyee.gifA picture named boss.gifA picture named bog.gifA picture named bluey.gifA picture named blsu.gifA picture named blpxt.gifA picture named block.gifA picture named blabra.gifA picture named bl.gifA picture named billw.gifA picture named billie.gifA picture named bilko.gif 12:19:33 PM

What do you think, should I try 10 graphics in one shot?

OK, I will.

11:47:20 AM

I don't know about you -- but my network connection just went to hell a few minutes ago. Broken images everywhere. This is test. Let's see if it's back. 11:44:32 AM

A picture named 4nb6.gifA picture named 39xu.gifA picture named 30330.gifA picture named 277.gifA picture named 134006.gifI just tested the tool by copying five pictures into the magic folder, and voila there they all are in my edit box. I'm typing around them. And thanks once again for Zeldman for helping the poor graphic-impaired programmer than I am. 11:36:27 AM

John Grohol surfaces again, this time talking about the psychology of weblogs. Now I'm no expert on psychology, but he's posted some weird shit in his day that made me wonder if he shouldn't get some help himself. 10:54:00 AM

A picture named dogondrugs.gifThis is a test of the My Pictures tool. The picture was scarfed from a site pointed to by Burning Bird. The full picture is worth a look. It's a dog, on drugs, obviously. Click on the dog's face to get a more detailed glimpse. 10:43:49 AM
