Mmmmm. Yummy...

If you have been around CompSci folks for a while, you learn about certain things that are simply irresistible to them. Sort of like how those guys on the fishing shows know what kind of bait will make a large-mouth bass strike for the camera. For many CS folks, an interpreter that converts one language to another is often one of those things. It usually appears to be simple, constrained and straightforward.

If you hang around a particular individual long enough, you might learn how to casually drop a comment so that they will rise toward the surface and slurp up the lure -- *gulp! chomp!* -- before they might notice the hook.
