About to take the wraps off a custom Manila site for De Anza College in Cupertino. The site will allow the nearly 1000 full and part-time faculty at De Anza to set up a Manila website to support their teaching.

The home page of the directory site was designed to mimic De Anza's current directory of Faculty Websites. Though as you would expect the new directory will be updated whenever someone creates as site. You can check out the new directory here, but only existing sites are listed now. We don't expect new Manila sites until after the first training exercise next week.

The custom features of the site include:
1) listing sites by faculty name rather than site name;
2) a custom admin page that allows the managing editor to delete, hide, and show sites in the directory;
3) ability to add new members from a tab-delimited text file; and
4) allow members to list their existing websites in the directory by setting a member preference.
