Yep, coming across a site that redirected me to a standards page was one of the most arogant things that I've seen on the web in a while. It reminds me of the old "This site is best viewed with Internet Explorer" badges that once proliferated the web.
It is a basically a very good way to ensure that I never visit the site again or direct my readers to it.
