My friend Åke was in town this week between photo road trips. He showed some of his latest photos, which are really good. I showed him some of mine from my last road trip which are ok.
Anyway, I complained that my slide scanner's output was not very good, and he suggested that I check the mirror for dust. We checked the mirror and sure enough, like everything else in the house, it was coated with dust.
I am pleased to report that after clearing the dust, my slide scanner is once again producing fine results. Now the failings of my photos are cleanly recorded. Here are some examples:
