On a whim, I purchased Abacab by Genesis tonight. I was over-tired, I stayed up till 4 last night watching the Olympics.
William Goldman said it best in the Princess Bride, "Bad things happen when you are over-tired, I married your father when I was over-tired."
So now am listening to this album that is really bad. It reminds me why I hated most music from that era. It is pompous, over-blown, and the worst music(?) that Genesis had produced at the time.
But there are a couple of tracks that stuck in my mind and twenty years later got me to buy an old album. Now if I had been bright I would only have bought those tracks. Because frankly, the album isn't worth it.
