Bernard Shifman Is A Moron Spammer: "I reported him, as I have done with the 12,000 other pieces of spam I have received since 1998, to his ISP, et al. I accidentally copied in the spammer. Shifman then began his assault by sending me an obscenity-laden email. I'm not sure, but I think he wants to have sex with me. Psst! Bernie! I don't swing that way."

This is good.  11:04:41 PM  permalink   Add a comment

I'm about 3 seconds from nuking this site design and starting over--if you see that Userland mug at the top, you'll know I've already failed.  9:04:59 PM  permalink   Add a comment

Defense team's challenge: Reshaping Lindh's image as 'nice young man'. Pop-up quiz

Two things: First, USA today has gone off the deep end--pop-up quiz? Second, The nice young man defense isn't going to cut it for this kid. This isn't the same America it wass during the OJ trial.  8:37:41 PM  permalink   Add a comment

Okay, is it just me, or does Gwen Stefani get hotter every day? I mean, seriously, I'm not one to pitch a tent for just any hottie (okay, maybe I am--though not in polite company), but look at her:

Sometime, when I wasn't paying attention, Gwen snuck off and became the hottest woman alive.  7:46:47 PM  permalink   Add a comment

Daze Reader Sex News Blog: "I'd seen the name Chu Mei-feng on top search request lists, but had no idea who she was until today. She's a minor Taiwanese politician (former cultural director of northern Hsinchu city and before that a member of Taipei City Council) caught up in a sex scandal. Chu Mei-feng had an affair with a married man, and one of their encounters was secretly filmed by a hidden camera installed in Chu's bedroom by what this article calls "her most trusted friend." This Linda Tripp-like friend sold the video to the local tabloid Scoop, which distributed the illicit VCDs as gifts to readers in December. The VCDs were then endlessly bootlegged and sold internationally. .[apple]FCA.[apple]FCA. Lycos reports that "Chu Mei-feng" (including various alternate spellings like Chu Mei-Fung, Chu Mei-Fong, Ku Mei-Feng, etc) became its top search request for the week ending January 19, with more than double the searches as usual leader"

Well, that clears that up. Guess you really do learn something new everyday.  3:54:41 PM  permalink   Add a comment

USA Today, amusing as always:

3 dead in Pittsburgh shooting. Young girl among the victims; 2 masked gunmen walked into a restaurant and opened fire. Sports

Hull powers Red Wings past Blues. Scores three goals, adds two assists in 5-2 victory; Wings are 4-0-1 in their last five. Washington  12:44:48 PM  permalink   Add a comment

Okay, Okay, I can admit that this George Bush parody is funny, but that doesn't mean I agree with the politics behind it. Am I the only blogger who voted for W?  4:22:10 AM  permalink   Add a comment

Phil Wolff is trawling for hits. I'll see your "chu mei-feng" and raise you one "Blogger Pro".  4:11:50 AM  permalink   Add a comment

America's chaotic road to war: This series of articles is an inside account of what happened from Sept. 11 to Sept. 20, based on interviews with the principals involved in the decision-making, including the president, the vice president and many other key officials inside the administration and out. The interviews were supplemented by notes of NSC meetings made available to The Washington Post, along with notes taken by several participants.

Reading this brought the feelings of September 11 back to me in a way I didn't expect. I don't think that has to be a bad thing, but take it as a warning if you have September 11 memories that you're not ready to deal with.  4:06:58 AM  permalink   Add a comment
