infoSync : Futuristic portability from IBM IBM researchers have invented a prototype 9-ounce portable computing device that could pave the way for a new set of functionality in the handheld space with its capability of transforming into either a handheld, desktop, laptop, tablet or a wearable computer, without having to be rebooted. Codenamed "MetaPad", the device is about the size of a ¾ inch (2 cm) thick stack of 3-by-5 inch (7,5 by 12,5 cm) index cards, and is part of IBM's research to explore how humans interact with computers and to help identify the technologies needed for future pervasive devices and the infrastructure that will support these devices.

Synopsising a thread on Telephony equipment: Dialogic is now part of Intel. So far, this product appears ideal for what I need. There used to be a magazine called "Computer Telephony" which morphed into Communications Convergence. it points me to a product by Brook Trout. Asked TurboPower for board recommendations; They pointed to their Modems Page.

NetworkingNews.org - Networking News source for the Professional "Their tool is a superset of the tool that Microsoft is providing," Goodhew said. "It will take the full range of software written in Java over to the .Net Framework."

Are they back? I think so. For most of the last 7 years MicroSoft seemed to turn into a company selling soap rather than technology. Now that SOAP is the technology I am changing my tune on them. Thank Heavens they got Anders a real Job. The future looked terrible for a while there. .net changes that.
