Terry Gross vs. Bill O'Reilly. O'Reilly "self-terminates" interview on NPR's "Fresh Air" In an apparent effort to balance having had Al Franken last week, NPR's "Fresh Air" asked Bill O' Reilly to appear on today's show. Apparently, O'Reilly eventually decided that it was too much of an "attack" interview, and left. [MetaFilter]
Lots of comments on the O'Reilly interview. Do listen to the interview. O'Reilly is really a funny guy; I haven't read only one piece from the Franken book, but it's hard to see how you could really satirize this guy.

O'Reallly

Be sure to listen to the Terry Gross interview with Bill O'Reilly, who sucks. It's a riot, he talks about how Al Franken (it's Al's decade) is destroying the country by viciously attacking people. Really odd. When he says "shut up", he's "aborting" interviews. We "very rarely tell anyboyd to shut up." This guy is obviously a looney. What's funny is that he does most of the talking, talking all the time about how he doesn't get a chance to talk. Sad, sad stuff.

It's Even Worse Than You Think. Through an accounting sleight of hand, the federal government distorts public debate, threatens social programs and impoverishes future generations. By Howell E. Jackson. [New York Times: Opinion]
