Juggle me this!. Learning to Juggle Causes Changes in the Brain. In a possible twist for the "nature vs. nurture" debate, this study proves "what was not thought possible -- that new stimuli can alter the brain's structure." The head researcher from the University of Regensburg in Germany says "Our results challenge our view of the human central nervous system. Human brains probably must be viewed as dynamic, changing with development and normal learning." [MetaFilter]

Karen Hughes: Still lying.
Here's presidential adviser Karen Hughes on CNN's Larry King Live: It's
been a remarkable three years in our history. And we've emerged from
the terror attacks and the recession that President Bush inherited and
the war in Iraq. ... The... [slacktivist]
Slacktivist says it well, but the gist is this: Karen Hughes repeats
the like that Bush "inherited" the recession, despite the fact that economic growth during Clinton's last quarter was 2.1%.
(Source: U.S. Department of Commerce) As he puts it, if they keep
repleating the life often enough, pretty soon people believe it. But

So, did Larry King -- a veteran
interviewer with decades of experience -- correct Hughes' misstatement
and point out that the economy grew 2.1 percent during President
Clinton's final quarter in office? And did he then go on to ask why,
when this is an established fact unchallenged by any credible
economist, the Bush administration insists on repeating the flagrantly
inaccurate assertion that Bush "inherited" an economy in recession?
Not exactly. Here's what he said:
"Your hair looks great, by the way."
