Astronomers find 'new planet'. A new space telescope has detected what could be the Solar System's 10th planet, named Sedna. [BBC News | News Front Page | UK Edition] Wow! A new Kuiper belt object orbiting 10 billion kilometres out. Sedna is the largest object found circling the Sun since the discovery of Pluto in 1930. Its size is uncertain.
