Junk mail filtering
All this week I've been plagued by tons of junk mail in my inbox. I'm
using Apple's Mail.app mail reader, and it has been pretty good about
filtering mail. This morning I finally noticed that it hasn't been
filtering junk at all. I found this thread
on Apple's support site. In my case, the recent 10.3.3 update had reset
one of the filtering rules -- namely Apple's own rule for colorcoding
mail from Apple, so that the option "stop evaluating rules" was set. So
the junk filters weren't being applied. I fixed it and it looks like it
works now.
Later: Wrong. The filter still doesn't run. That thread says that if
you reset the thing so you lose all your training then it works again.
I'm not ready to do that now, I'll see if something turns up in the
next couple days.
