It was a beautiful evening last night, with sky crisp and clear. Around 7, I spotted Mercury in the glare of the sunset. Above it the goregous crescent moon, then very bright Venus, followed by Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter. An amazing site, that takes you for a moment off the planet and puts you into the larger (but still, really, small) solar system. Be sure to get out and see it, it's going to be visible for the next week or more, all 5 planets lined up.
