No HTML in my keitai
I can't believe we still don't have an html browser, always on connection, and packet based billing in our mobile phones here in the US !!  Look at how much fun they're having in Japan in this recent Guardian piece Where the Mobile is killing the PC.  That combined with last week's Pew report on how American's are getting bored with the internet or have no desire to get on the internet is a bit depressing.  It's interesting, that I write this from the indoors, on my desktop PC, not talking to anyone, while other parts of the world are having a good time with social computing.  We need Mari Matsunaga to save us.

A Mac or a PC
Even since Mac went Unix, I've been considering one for my next PC.  A PC that comes with Perl pre-installed is just too cool.  Read this on a blog yesterday: "One major problem with the iMac: it made me look like a dork. Those who know me understand that I am one who can rely solely on my physical appearance to get through life. Having a cute-looking gum-drop computer on my desk caused my co-workers to laugh every time they enter my office/cubby-hole."
