I Hate Dealing With Sony
We have been Sony for years as customers and as resellers for some of their top end video and editing gear. The make wonderful products. I have a house full of it. HOWEVER never, ever ever have to call them to get a shred of information.
Today a client called asking us if they could get a product that is about a year old to replace something they needed. Okay, no big deal-- We weren't sure they were still making it-- or if Sony had one in the warehouse. So we checked the reseller website, which makes the dirt slow customer site look like a rocket, and still couldn't find what we needed.
Plan 2: Next we call... and go through a friggin maze of people, half of whom can't speak more than three words of English in an understandable voice, in order to be told we don't know. We'll get back to you. No now they transfer us AGAIN to a wonderful person who can speak English, and she takes our name and number-- and we explain we're on a deadline to get back this client and we need to hear from them ASAP. After 45 minutes on the phone... she finally get it. Now we're waiting to see if there's one in stock in the warehouse. However they may not be in San Jose... but San Diego and we'd have to drive down to pick it up. Oy!
