Ulrich Schnauss - Has music ever made you cry? Quite simply the two most breathtaking electronica albums of our time! - Links: 01 02 03 04 [Colin Bennett at Pixelsurgeon]

I'm intrigued. The label, City Centre Offices, links to a couple of MP3s from Far Away Trains Passing By and A Strangely Isolated Place, his two albums. I'm not blown away on first listen, though Knuddelmaus is growing on me, fast. Hmmmmm.

101 Things
I noticed that a lot of people have a link to 101 things on their site, so I've added one to mine, so as not to feel left out.

Never better. Still very bad though.
Ian of Spinneyhead posts: Casting has started for the big screen version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Disappointingly, my name isn't mentioned. I suppose it would have helped if I had put myself forward for a role, and if I was an actor. It's annoying how these details can really put the kibosh on things, sometimes.

Please don't let them screw it up. Please.

The Decline of Fashion Photography [mschmidt of KALIBER10000, via MeFi]

I don't agree with everything in this article, but it raises some interesting points. Fashion photography is as subject to fashion as the clothes. It seems rather futile to rail against past trends. Having said that, I'm all in favour of a little creative criticism of the status quo in any area of human activity. It keeps us on our toes.

Update: mschmidt also pointed to the website of one of the photographers mentioned in the above link. Looks like just an ordinary day at my house. David Lachapelle.

The site is intollerant and sneering, but it is also funny and of interest to anthropologists, so I'm posting it. The only thing I will add is that duffer means an incompetent or dull-witted person, amongst other things.

News Flash
I've just heard on the news that Dr. Harold Shipman (Britains most prolific serial killer) has committed suicide by hanging himself in his cell at Wakefield Prison.

Update: More details from the BBC.
