Basketball

Caught some basketball highlights on the news tonight, and remember being a big fan of the sport in the late eighties (?). The Lakers were shooting for their repeat, and it came down to game seven. The final game was on a sunday, and I had to work at the computer store. We listened to the final moments on a little transistor radio, the old black plastic box with silver grill kind. God, there was no one in the store expect us three sales guys, huddled around a desk and a tiny announcer. It must be difficult for announcers to do basketball justice. I should get back into it, maybe even play again now that there's a court at the end of my street.

A question: what sport, if any, are you following?

Walken on SNL

Not sure if this is a new SNL tonight, but Christopher Walken is host. Damn he's got a freaky look these days. I wish he knew his lines. his reading is screwing up hit comedic timing...then again, he's got some good moments. The Pranksters skit worked well. He works because he's willing to cross lines boldly. He knows he's doing it, and he loves it! Foo Fighters were ok.
