The Demise of Sarah & No Name?

Could this be one of the most elaborate april fool's jokes of all time, or just incredible timing?

Something transpired last Wednesday at an Alice staff meeting, and Sarah was particularly bent out of shape for the rest of the week. Early this morning, P shook me awake to hear Steve Denardo announce that the Alice Radio Morning Show was changing "due to circumstances beyond our control" and that "Mike and Malou" of Evening Magazine (TV) fame will be taking over starting tomorrow. Could the station have dropped the ax and arranged the program change in one weekend, or was this plan afoot for longer than that? Did Sarah and No Name know last week, and did they keep quiet for financial reasons? So many questions... From the pre-recorded announcements to the updated website, it sure looks like they've covered the change completely. I guess we'll know for sure tomorrow morning...

This just weeks after Lamont and Tonelli jumped ship from The Rock to The Bone.

If this is true, it looks as though I'll be switching to NPR for good now...

The holy grail of aggregation

Brad Wilson: I wonder when my program is going to get TiVo-style smarts and say "If you like Don, Sam, Joshua, and Ingo, then you'll love Sam Gentile and Craig Andera!".

Note that Tivo doesn't say if you love CNN, MSNBC, and the History Channel, you'll love the Discovery Channel. The recommendations are at the individual show level. Now that's what I'd like to see.

A spambayes in reverse. Read a few blog entries and push on little green thumbs up or red thumbs down icons. Then any all all posts on topics that interest you in your greater neighboorhood will come to your aggregator. [Sam Ruby ]

I am vindicated!
