Fooey, now the rendered page is completely blank in NS-4. I guess I'll have to look at that some other time.

A bit later: Looks like a missing end-table directive. But how do I tell R.U. explicitly to upstream my changed template.txt file? Looks like I have to change some of the content in order to get the corresponding template changes to "take". And how do I get it to include a note about that sort of change in the events page?

Intent: like Hopeless Romantics

I was aiming for a simpler-looking format, just some pale colored backgrounds behind the nav buttons and the table that contains the weblog title. For MSIE, I wanted a bit of a 3d-look on them, as seen on the hopeless romantics site (with its original skin), but without making the areas completely disappear under netscape 4.7x. I'll have to try installing a recent Mozilla, too.

Broken formatting: templates in flux

Sorry 'bout the broken formatting today, I'm messing around with the templates. Too many places still explicitly ask for a white background.

The Edit Box, the backgrounds in the Category titles, and the Previous 10 posts, all have white backgrounds. The Edit box makes sense to stay that way, but the others don't look so good that way. But at least this happens only on the desktop page. When published, those parts that are visible do match the rest of the background.
