ICANN Board 'Unusually Stupid'
I was in LA last weekend, saw Karl (he's another
alumnus of
Interactive Systems), and wished him luck in court the next day.
Great to see a sensible ruling from the court! Some articles on both
icann blog
and the
icann-watch
organization. I quote
a nearby posting on icann-watch:
ICANN's decision to fight this case made absolutely no sense. California statute law was pretty clear: the director's right to view documents is "absolute". True, there weren't a lot of cases, because corporations are not usually this stupid...
Of course, ICANN has had months to destroy,
alter, or drown whatever incriminating tidbits there were that
caused them to perform this phenomenally stupid
manuever. I wonder which of the board members
have such a strong desire to destroy any credibility
that ICANN itself ever had?
